Being on the CARE Board

We meet once a month (with a break over summer ) via Google Hangouts. (No travel required!) Our meetings typically last 60-90 minutes and we share an agenda before the meeting and members are invited to suggest agenda items before the meetings.

We follow a typical board method of voting on important decisions, and the secretary of the board is responsible for taking minutes that are distributed after the meeting. The meeting notes highlight any action items for board members and we follow up on these items at our next meeting.

As this is a working board, you will have many opportunities to join special committees such as fundraising, finance, and strategic planning and assist in planning events and making important decisions for the society.
