Opportunity awaits! If you are passionate about contributing to your community and want a rewarding venture, consider volunteering to become an active board member for CARE Housing Society. Celebrating its 33rd year in operation, CARE Housing Society (CARE) is a non-profit organization that operates three homes in Edmonton and raises funds to purchase or build additional homes.  The vision for CARE is to provide sustainable housing for youth and adults with developmental disabilities who need specialized care and support in uniquely equipped homes in Edmonton. More information about CARE is available at https://www.carehousingsociety.ca.

As a CARE board member, you will help enrich the lives of youth and adults with developmental disabilities by collaborating on various sustainable housing projects and events. Our mission is to create safe and accessible houses to improve our residents’ lives.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to build relationships, connect with like minded individuals, make a positive impact in the community, all while expanding their skills and gaining board experience.

If you would like more information or to speak with a current board member about this opportunity, please email hello@carehousingsociety.ca.   Please note our bylaws require that all nominees from the community-at-large must register as a member which is at no cost to them. Those interested are asked to complete the Nomination Form and if required the Membership Form and send to hello@carehousingsociety.ca by April 2, 2024

As of March 1, 2021, the Government of Alberta requires registered charitable organizations that change Partners, Directors or Officers to provide a Criminal Record / Police Information Check for each Board member. Fees are covered by CARE.
