Mark Dumont, President
Mark is a member of CARE Housing Society and is the brother of a CARE resident. He was introduced to the society by his father soon after the society was founded in December 1991. Mark strives to further the vision and mission of CARE Housing Society to provide a family home like atmosphere for current and future residents.
Don Irwin, Director
Don has been involved with CARE since 2010. His daughter is a resident of MiPlace.
Dalayce-lynn Keen, Past-President
Dalayce-lynn has been a member of CARE and served as President of the Board since 2021. She has a passion for people and building meaningful relationships that encourage positivity and growth. She is the Sales Manager for the Edmonton Single Family Jayman Built Team.
Cathy Furtak, Vice President
Cathy is a member of CARE Housing Society and Elves Specials Needs Society, serving on both boards for many years. She is currently on the Parent Advisory Council for Elves. Cathy has been very active in building Elves and CARE by helping to organize gala dinners and silent auctions. Cathy is the mother of a CARE resident. She has considerable Human Rights training and has been a fierce advocate for her child and others with disabilities.
Stephanie Atkin, Secretary
Stephanie has extensive board experience and is looking forward to working with CARE and supporting our goals.
Colin Wright, Director
Colin is the father of a CARE resident and has been involved with the Society since 1994.
Tatiana Cojocari, Treasurer
Tatiana has worked with the Edmonton Homeward Trust Foundation and has served as treasurer for several condominium associations. She is looking forward to the opportunity to offer CARE her knowledge and expertise to help enrich the lives of youth and adults with developmental disabilities as Treasurer for the Board.
Cindy Dorward - Director
Cindy has a background in security and property maintenance. She also contributes her experience in finance, fundraising and role as Chair for her community garden.
Dell Yaghi, Director
Dell is the mother of eight children and her second youngest has applied to be a resident in House 4. She has been a physical therapy assistant at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital since 2003. She is a member of the Cerebral Palsy Association and was the secretary of the Women’s Druze Association for five years. Through the Association, she helped to raise awareness of faith and funds to help people.
