Update to Members 2025

Happy New Year!

Dear CARE members,

We hope you had a wonderful holiday season and want to wish you and yours all the best in 2025! We would like to take this opportunity to inform you about a few events that our committees have diligently worked on to organize for the Society, in order to help raise funds for our H4 build. We are hopeful that we can rely on your support by helping with volunteer requirements and by promoting and sharing our events with your family, friends, co-workers and neighbors, as we kick off 2025 with our first fundraising event and Casino.

Firstly – Sowing Seeds of Love Valentine’s fundraising event – February 15, 2025

This is going to be a wonderful Valentine’s theme evening with live music, tasty food and drinks, a fun silent auction and the opportunity to explore the beautiful Muttart Conservatory and the new Mars Installation.

Tickets are $100 each and include 2 complimentary drinks.

Secondly – Century Casino – March 4&5

We are still looking for volunteers for the CARE Housing Society’s casino on March 4 and 5 at the Century Casino, located at 13103 Fort Rd, NW, Edmonton. We are especially in need of count room workers and evening chip runners. Please let us know if you or anyone you know would like to help us with this major fundraiser event for CARE Housing Society. Listed below are the different positions required:

General Manager (9am-7pm; OR 6:15pm-3:45am)

Banker (9am-7pm; OR 6:15pm-3:45am)

Cashier (9:30am-7:15pm; OR 6:30pm-3:30am)

Chip Runner (9:30am-7:15pm; OR 6:30pm-3:15am)

Count Room Supervisor - evening only (10:45pm-3:30am)

Count Room - evening only (10:45pm-3:30am)

Please contact us as soon as possible if you would like to volunteer, noting all positions and shifts you would be interested in working. If you are not sure and just want to volunteer indicate no preference. All volunteers are required to complete a Volunteer Worker Application (VWA).
