First and foremost, the Societies residents have been in good hands with trained and professional staff in a safe Home for Life environment and continue with a vision to seeking growth and sustainability. We strive to expanding our network and relationships, to develop a higher level of community awareness of our society and develop philanthropic support.
Home improvements, fundraising and improved communication have been our focus in 2023. CARE has had another successful fundraising year, and we are so appreciative for those who have volunteered and supported these endeavors.
Sadly, our President of the Board, Dalayce-lynn Keen, stepped down on December 31, 2023. Stephanie Atkin was appointed to fill the vacancy for the duration of the term (per bylaw 442). Dalayce has agreed to remain as Past-President to offer her expertise, connections and knowledge. Jo-Anne Brant has stepped down as Administrative Assistant and Rachel Cormier has been hired to fill the position. Both Jo-Anne and Penny continue to support Rachel while she is learning the role. Welcome aboard Rachel.
