Update to Members

I would like to update the members on the Thanksgiving Stawnichy's fundraiser that took place this month. CARE gained a profit of $1291.62 with all of your orders and contributions. Thank you again to those of you who helped participate. We look forward to making this an annual event at Easter and or Thanksgiving.

The Grey Cup Pool is now live and tickets are available for purchase with Cindy Johnson. This fundraiser is a great way to help support CARE in building house #4. Please reach out to her directly to get your tickets. Packs of 50 or more can be made available to sell at your workplace as well. There are 3 prizes of $200, 1 prize of $350 and 1 prize of $50. House # 4 now has 5 approved residents. The board combined with the new house committee made the decisions recently and the guardians have all been made aware. The next steps will be to start conversations with builders that will work along side CARE to make house # 4 a reality.

CARE was looking at participating in the Crowdfunding Grant this fall. This grant was discussed at the AGM this spring in hopes of collecting cash donations that would run in a 30 day window with a government top up. After more research it has come to our attention that the set up time combined with the a no guarantee GOA top up, has lead the board to not pursue this at this time.
