Become a Volunteer

CARE is run and operated by amazing volunteers, and it wouldn't be possible without your help. Did you know that our society is made up of many committees that help strategize, plan, and support our goals? We need your help and welcome the opportunity for you to actively participate in our committees that meet a few times throughout the year. This requires very little of your personal time but comes with a large reward! The following committees are needing members,

Finance Committee
Provides ongoing advice and organizational oversight to the financial, risk management and budgeting activities of CARE.

 Fundraising Plan Implementation Committee
Take the actions necessary and develop the necessary materials to implement the Fundraising Plan that is approved by the Board.

Grant and Funding Application Committee
Provides ongoing advice concerning possible applications for grants and funding that would further the Society’s activities.

New House Committee
The New House Committee is delegated by the Board to provide ongoing advice, recommendations and organizational oversight regarding the design, budget, and construction of the next new home.

Safety and Maintenance Committee
Develop, implement, monitor, and update (as required) an ongoing safety program, following the most recent Alberta Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines, for volunteers or contractors performing repair, maintenance, or capital improvement work at any CARE owned home or property.  This committee is also developing standards for ongoing maintenance in all homes.

Social Media Committee
This new committee would promote CARE initiatives using social media platforms in collaboration with website postings.

If you have an interest or expertise in one of these areas and feel you can join one or more of these committees, CARE would really appreciate your help. CARE is inviting individuals to serve on the for a two-year term.

Meeting new folks and building relationships with members is an incredible opportunity and we look forward to welcoming you on board!
